Lord Murugan Statue.....
Guess everyone know where this place is right??? During Thaipusam,
Indian pilgrims from as far as India will come to this holy place to seek blessing. Ring a bell???

Batu Caves also have another alternative name which is called "Batumalai Sri Subramaniar Swamy Devasthanam"

Super duper long.... let just stick to calling it Batu Caves.... hehe

Most pilgrims are here to pray to Lord Murugan which stands at the height of 42.7m.... Best of all, it is the WORLD TALLEST MURUGAN STATUE..... Malaysia Boleh!!!!!!!

A little FYI, did you know that it causes approximately 24 million ruppees to build this World Tallest Statue??? Not only that, the statue is made of 1550 cubic metres of concrete, 250 tonnes of steel bars and 300 litres of gold paint brought in from Thailand....(Quote Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batu_Caves )

No no no... that not all..... The limestone formation in the cave.... it is said to be around 400 millions years ago.... Imagine that..... I wonder during 400 millions years ago.... how does Malaysia looks like..... *curious*

From the bottom of the foot hill to the top... you can take the stairs.... which is around 272 steps. Right at the top of the hill there is another temple which pilgrims called it "Temple Cave"..... At the bottom of the hill, there is another 2 more temples.....

Interested in rock climbing as well????  Batu Caves has around 100 over climbing routes for adventure seeker... The routes are mostly scattered around the sides of Batu Caves... So rock climbers and adventure seekers around the world interested?? Wanna have some fun and enjoy some Malaysian view???? Drop by Batu Caves for some adrenaline rush...

One monkey incident that i witness is, one women reaches into her bag trying to get some tissue.... some monkeys thinking she is taking out some food to offer them, therefore, one of the braver monkey actually jump onto her.... she got the shocked of her lifetime i bet.... luckly, nothing happen to the women.... just a shocked monkey and women.... Some tourist who bought some souvenirs from the souvenir store also got their souvenir snatch by the monkeys..... pilgrims bringing packets of fresh fruits being snatch by the monkeys..... Therefore, please be alert, do not hold food or water in your hand............ Gotta be wiser than a monkey.... and most importantly, DO NOT PUT UR HAND IN THE BAG WHEN A MONKEY IS NEARBY....
