It been quite a while since i blog about my college... I think is time to continue with that topic...

SHMS is not all about study... study.... study....projects....projects....projects... There also give students a chance to try and organize small little banquet maybe around 60 pax (mixture of teachers, sponsors and students) ... In your Year 2 studies whereby you are studying for your Swiss Diploma in Hotel Operation Management , there is a subject called "Banqueting and Events" where your lecturer will ask you to host your own (the whole class and not yourself only) banquet... Of course there are guidelines to help you out, and you guys have to work in teams  ( like the organisation of a hotel... accounting department, entertainment department, decor department , F&B department etc) to make your class banquet a success... It is important as it is part of your grade for that subject... Therefore, you guys gotta really work it out among each other !!!!!!! Finding sponsors to buy the materials needed or asking them to loan you the materials etc... Every week you got to report back to your lecturer and inform him about the progress etc...

Best part of all, you guys (you and your classmates) get a chance to vote and select the theme of the banquet...

If you are taking a PGD or PGDM course in SHMS, no worries.. you have that subject as well.... ^^

Anyway, during my 3rd and final year in college, I am very lucky because I got invited to attend the "Venice Ball" organise by the PGD and PGDM students.... I am able to bring one lucky companion as well... ^^

This is like some friendship test thing.... why?? I can only bring one lucky companion and the best part is you don't have only one friend in one place right?? You will always have plenty of friends right??? That the dilemma .... have to think who to bring... and not hurt the rest of your friend... I went through it and i feel really really seriously bad for the rest of my buddy..... Some of them never got a chance to go to a banquet even though they study there for 3 years... But life have to go on!!!!

Bigoli in salsa

"Bigoli" pasta still have its texture... not too overcooked... I dont like soft pasta... Tuna and onion are a mix mushy.... I prefer it to be a bit drier...  But the combination is real good... Look like a HUGE portion right?? But it is just nice... Cherry tomato added some "OHM" to it...

To be honest, everyone waited for a really long time for their main course... And at least, the main course wasnt that bad... The duck was moist and it really goes well with the Orange sauce... Not like the normal tough meat we are use to eating... Plenty of sauce to eat with it as well..... The boil potato and broccoli is ok... Just that the portion of the vege I think is a little too little.. don't you think???

Tiramisu...

My fav dessert ever... Tiramisu.... I heard that is quite hard to make a good Tiramisu... And the standard of theirs was just ok..... As you can see... Cream is more than the coffee part... But it is still ok... Anyway, it is a good try already.... Hehehe...
