Since coming down to KL, I haven't really been to a picnic or BBQ trip before...

Finally I got a chance already... ^^

I've heard of this place numerous times from Le companion and frankly speaking, I been wanting to go there and have a look at this place since then.... The way he describe the place, the river, delicious ice-cream bread is to die for...

Anyway, finally get to go there on last Saturday... Huuray!!!!

But the bad thing is, I wanted to go to #Churpout 2012 in the morning once the fashion stalls are opened, to start shop shop shop... But Le companion wanted to go there... So, have to delay till late afternoon to go... Haih!!!!!

Entrance to Sungai Tekala / Tekala Fall

We were there quite early though... Around 9 plus we arrive at Sungai Tekala.... It is kinda cooling over there as it is a cloudy Saturday morning... No sun the whole time when we are there... Isn't this weather a darling or what??

Entrance fee for adult is RM1.00 per person, as for children aged 12 years old and below, it is RM0.50 per person... Can you believe it??? I mean RM1.00 for adult, how freaking cheap is that... 5 sweets which cost RM0.20 each also equal to RM1.00.... Have you ever come across such cheap entrance fee?? No right... I mean so far I haven't heard of or seen yet... And we are talking about a place where you can picnic, BBQ, swim around for hours with friends and family... Definitely, the most worth spending RM1.00 ever, compare to buying sweet whereby the risk of high blood pressure and diabetes increases...

Sungai Tekala opens at 7.00am right up to 7.00pm.. You can come here for an early morning jog, swim around the river and waterfalls and than have a sumptuous great outdoor BBQ for hours and hours..

Well, This place is well maintained... they have plenty of toilet for you to do your so called "business" and change into cleaner cloths after your swim. I won't comment on the toilets cause I didn't use them but I guess the condition isn't that clean... Well, what do you expect? Is a public toilet and not a shopping complex toilet.... Get what I mean??? Anyway, The whole way to the waterfall is semen pavement/ pathway so is safe.... Not like the usual muddy and sandy pathway where it is damn dangerous and harder to walk...

Along the way...

This is just the starting... and you can see a super small man made waterfall... There are lots of small little huts for you to put your belongings and BBQ nearby.... So, quickly find a suitable spot and "mark" it with your belongings.... ^^

Beware of Monkeys though, I've heard that there are numerous occasion, where people are disturb by monkeys... Not those worse case scenario type, just the common monkeys stealing your foods and stuffs... So just beware of your surrounding....

Some club is having a BBQ dayout with it members.. Food smells really good...

Ignore my "Sans makeup" face... I wake up early for the trip and ignore my clothing choice...TQ

Cold river....

It might look dirty but the actual fact: IT IS FREAKING CLEAN....The river is not polluted at all.... Freaking clear and cold... Definitely look safe...

"Newbie" river...

We made a total 3 stops at the river.... This is the first stop which is located not far away from the bridge and the entrance to Sungai Tekala... I call this the "Newbie" River... small little waterfall just right for kids... 2nd and 3rd stop have bigger and better waterfall...

"Intermediate" waterfall...

Continue your hike up the hill, and not far away is our pit stop number 2 with the above view of the waterfall... I call this the "Intermediate" waterfall... See the difference between "Newbie" and "Intermediate"?? Well, the crowd here is more compare to the "Newbie" side.. as you can see the view and ambiance is way better.... This area has 2 waterfall... it is separated by some rocks or boulders....


Right above the "Intermediate" river is a over head bridge.... Didnt go there though.. so not sure where it leads to...

We spend some time there, but because of the crowd we decided to continue the journey to pit stop number 3.... The weather was getting dark though by than.... That why we are kinda rushing, cause we don't want to be stuck in the rain for hours.. and I don't wanna miss my Churpout 2012 event...

"Master" waterfall...

Was thinking what to name this waterfall.... "Experience" or "Expert" or "Master"... finally, settle with "Master".... So this is the "Master of all waterfall in Sungai Tekala"...
See the difference between all the waterfall?? This is the best waterfall... when we are there, only one family is there... They were really kind though, their children are playing at the waterfall area there.. when they see us start snapping pictures, they kindly move away from the waterfall and play else where.. Such nice children... Thank to them I gotten this view... Love it so much.. Look at the waterfall, the water gives me the milky feeling.. feel like jumping down and have fun but I didn't bring extra cloths so have to stick to the no dipping in the water rule..

That was the last pit stop though, it started raining after 15 minutes when we arrive there.. We decided not to take the risk and headed down hill back to the car..

Families begin to disperse and pack their bag though... All of us have the same though.. Don't wanna get stuck in the rain...

Ice cream bun @ RM2.00

There is this really friendly Malay guy that sell a variety of ice creams right at the entrance of Sungai Tekala... Popsicle, Cone Ice Cream and Ice Cream bun are sold there as well... at AFFORDABLE price... The Ice cream bun cost me RM2.00 for 3 flavors (Durian, Strawberry and Chocolate flavour) Damn nice and cooling... I was asking the fella what flavor does he have... and he answered me jokingly:" I ada Melayu, Cina dan India... Satu Malaysia..." How cute is that.... I was laughing my ass out.. Anyway, if you do not fancy ice cream, there are quite a number of road side stall which sell a variety of finger food... Nuggets, Fishball, Burgers, Soft Drinks etc... You name it, they should have it.. ^^

On the way back to KL, pass by some rivers which flow very fast... Small little huts are located along the river with a renting fee of RM5.00 (Please double check whether the hut are all RM5, some are different pricing) .... I seen some children playing at the shallow bank of the river... But, it started to rain heavily... Therefore, we didn't stop for long.. just a short trip to have a look at the view that all.. ^^
